the first film of this film series based on the first novel in Parker’s series. Stone is forced to resign from his role homicide this detective because of his drinking problem, he moved from Los Angeles to Paradise. Paradise is a small town on the Massachusetts Coast. He joined the police force as the sleazy Council leaders. He investigates a series of Murder that occur with the same modus operandi. He started his investigation by gathering the names of the gun owners in paradise. Very soon a second victim is found in a parking lot. In this movie he is solved this case successfully.
In the second film a dead body was found on the Shoreline who was shot twice in the heart with.22 Calibre Pistol after sometime 2 more victims are found both were killed by the same method. in this film he solves this case.
in the third movie Stone investigates a death case of a teenage girl. Her dead body was found floating in a lake. According to the post-mortem report she was pregnant that time. She had a ring in her finger with the help of that he found out that she is Billie Bishop. She was a high school student and her family threw her out from their house after changing of her behaviour and dropping her grades. Later he came to know that she was in the orbit of local novelist Norman Shaw.
In the fourth movie Stone asked his colleague to find the list of local unsolved cases. After that he decides to reopen a death case of 1992, it was a case of a bank teller, he was taken Hostage during a robbery.
In the 5th movie, stone comes to the aid of his colleague who was state police captain Healy. He was attacked while keeping tabs on his nephew who he believes is in relationship with his saxophone teacher. Now Stone begins his investigation.
In the sixth movie stone was suspended from his position as Paradise’s chief of police also he has been banned from contacting his Colleagues. He was hired as a private consultant to Boston police after the murders in a parking lot. In this movie he solved this murder case.
In this 7th film, stone is forced to leave his job and he was replaced by the town Council president’s son in law. He is not official police now but he still manages to find himself caught up in appear of Murder investigation.
In the 8th film of this series Butler and one officer are killed in a suspicious police car explosion. After that stone is hired to investigate this case.
In the ninth film he again joined as police chief and also, he again decides to help out the Massachusetts State Police as a consultant.
