He lost his mother because of brain cancer when he was just nine years old. He developed a passion for motocross at the age of 12 and got his first bike Yamaha YZ-80 when he was aged 13. When he was in the ninth grade, he had his first race. When he was young, Hardy played baseball but he stopped playing after an accident during a motocross race, injuring his arm. He also played soccer during high school. He competed briefly in high school amateur wrestling. After he had been told to choose between professional wrestling and football, he decided to avoid playing soccer in high school and choose wrestling. He became a full-time professional WWE competitor in 1998.
Hardy was known for his dynamic, rebellious personality during his early stints, but the controversial wrestler cleared his act. He is known for his performances under the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He returned to WWE in 2017, after almost a decade of absence from the organization. Hardy is talented in several different sports. He has several other passions, including riding motorcycles, writing poetry, playing guitar and drums. He formed a band named “Peroxwhy?gen.”
