Sea of thieves, like any multiplayer game, is filled with endgame goals, cosmetics, levels, and quests. But, for the most part of the game, these systems are present to make your friends and your adventure together.

For this specific reason, the game is low on in-game explanations and tutorials. That makes starting out a challenging prospect. But, who says you cannot learn on the job? We will teach you by offering the best Sea of Thieves hacks and cheats to play this whimsical pirate game.

There has been a fair bit of confusion regarding what players are supposed to do. That is because the game is a lot more than taking risks. However, despite how badly the developers throw us at the deep end, we always tend to figure out things, don’t we? Keep reading to know something for a better beginning.

1.  Protect your treasure, come what may!

Once you have acquired a chest, it may feel more tempting to keep sailing in the high seas until the ship is loaded with treasure. But, beware because if the vessel sinks, your treasure will be gone too. Plus, the longer you leave your treasure on the ship, there lie more risks of other players coming and stealing everything.

Head back to one of the outposts and sell everything to the Gold Hoarder’s shopkeeper amid voyages. If you cannot sell, then be a little creative about hiding the invaluable treasure chests if you are spending a long time riding the waves. You can put your trunks on the Captain’s balcony or in the Crow’s Nest. Your treasure chest can be hidden behind the lower decks’ barrels or on the beams of the sail cross.

2.   The map’s edge is nothing but a death trap.

In the entire Sea of thieves’ map, you can easily reach the territory’s edges if you do not notice the map. But, the sooner you begin to venture into the uncharted territories, trust us, you will now.

The skies and water around will turn red. And, before you know it, the ship will creak as it starts to take loads of damage. All your precious treasure, along with the vessel, will disappear into depths, leaving you with no option but to seek recovery from the sirens.

3.  Your vomit can be used as a weapon.

The central part of a pirate’s life is all about getting drunk. But you have to be careful when you begin to knock that grog. As you get drunk, you will stagger, and your vision will warp. We suggest chucking three mugs of grog down your throat and expect to see it return.

But, before you start swearing your weak stomach and bad luck, throw up by grabbing a bucket. We recommend saving all that holy regurgitation so that you can later use it to throw it on a crewmate’s face. Or, you can simply ditch the bucket and puke straight into the mug of Avatar, causing the screen to go green in no time.

4.  Check the ship’s deck below during a storm.

It is easy to discover a ship’s belly filled with water when you are hit by an army of cannonballs or a big rock. But, getting caught in a massive thunderstorm can also wash you down below. You must be wondering how. Well, tons of pelting down rain will get stored on the deck, and before you know it, the ship will be weighed down by rainwater. Thus, to save it from sinking, always check the deck!

5.  Do not fret if you have fallen off the ship.

Do not worry when you fall of your ship when playing with multiple players or alone. That is because you wait to swim back or get your crew to hold. You can also look for the rising blue smoke that indicates a wailing siren. This siren arising from waves simply teleports you back to the ship.

6.  Use RT to count steps.

There is no fitness tracker for pirates to count steps. But, you can always bring your compass out and hold RT to bring it before your face. Now, keep moving while holding RT down, you will feel each step of yours.

7.  Voting for a voyage is a must before sailing.

In this game, you cannot choose a voyage and set off. That is because a unique second stage allows you to choose the treasure you are looting next. All you have to do is go onto the ship below the deck and find the map table. Near this table, there is another table where you will find the paper sheet. Here, you can suggest a voyage for your crew, and they have to vote on it.

Conclusion

No matter what you do, just keep sailing even if it requires you to put up a fight against the tentacles beast called Kraken. Remember, Sea of Thieves is all about guarding your treasure and sailing without sinking to the murkiest depths.
